Can We Eat a Little More?

Forever in our hearts

Tryggve playing grandpa and reading to us

Fika at Kai's house

We woke up in time for coffee at Tryggve and Ulla's. Tryggve made us pancakes that were so good!!

We walked across the street (500ft away) to Kai and Kjrsten's house where it was set up like a tea party with lit candles for fika - scumpciuous apple/blackberries (blueberries that are black - taste great) pastries. Kai's house is the old house of Emma, our great great great grandmother!

After fika it was time to say goodbye! Even though we only knew Kai for 24 hours we still felt attached to him and it was hard to go! Then came our goodbyes to Tryggve! Oh boy did the tears come! What an amazing time we had and how connected we felt to him! We really love him and are so blessed to have him in our memories and in our family!!!

After our sad goodbyes, Bo drove us to Johanna's for another fika - apple pie and donuts! She showed us her old backpaking journal which was really fun to see and she gave us tips for our upcoming trip. Johanna decided to give us a clothes line since we failed to pack one. It was made of wire so it was extremely hard to cut.  She was on one side, Kelsey on the other and Kirdy was in the middle trying to cut this bugger. Finally, we got it! Now we will have a line to dry our clothes!!
Then comes goodbye number 3 for the day! Great day, bad heart break! We cannot wait to see Johanna again!

Bo took us to his house and made us smoked salmon and potatoes. Afterwards we enjoyed our last sauna in Åland, in which we helped prepare! We loved jumping in the ocean  and dancing on the dock- like true Ålanders!

Thank you tryggve for breakfast and coffee and for reading to us! Thank you Kai and Kjersten for having us for fika!! Thank you Johanna for having us over for fika and for sharing your experience and line with us! Thank you Bo for our dinner and setting up out beds!! And thank you all for everything!! We will never ever forget our time on Åland!!!
